Speaking Thursday night in response to the rocket attack that scored a direct hit on a yeshiva building in Sderot, Davidi said, “This situation can not continue. As I said in the past, only a military operation will bring quiet to our area.

“[Hamas leaders Ismail] Haniyeh and [Yahya] Sinwar are ‘sons of death’ and we should hit them first,” Davidi said, urging the IDF to carry out targeted assassinations against the top leaders of Hamas.

“The precious residents of Sderot and the Gaza envelope are entitled to raise their children in a quiet and routine manner, as are all residents of the country. We will continue to develop the city and be blessed with thousands of new families,” he added.

“Terrorism will not defeat us. ”
