A number of residents in the central Negev town of Netivot were taken to the hospital late Tuesday night after a rocket exploded and the Iron Dome anti-missile defense system intercepted another overhead.
The interception resulted in a large explosion and pieces of shrapnel falling from the sky on to a sports facility in the town, as well as several other structures which sustained some damage in the process.
Although no one was physically injured, at least one woman was severely traumatized and others suffered anxiety as well. A number of the traumatized residents were taken to a nearby hospital for medical care.
