Jewish communities in southern Israel remained safe Thursday night thanks to alert Israeli soldiers who spotted two Arab terrorists infiltrating through the southern border.
The terrorists were arrested at night after they crossed into Israeli territory through the security fence along the southern Israeli border with northern Gaza, ruled by the Iranian-backed Hamas terrorist organization.
Both were later found to be carrying knives after a thorough search of their bodies and their belongings.
They were transferred to security forces for interrogation.
At around the same time, Israeli military forces were also deployed to another border location along the southern section of the Gaza Strip, where explosions were heard from terrorists hurling grenades and other IEDs (improvised explosive devices) at the security fence.
IDF soldiers fired tear gas at terrorists who were attempting to approach the fence along the southern Gaza border.
