110 terrorists will be set free, including many who are responsible for the murder of dozens of Israelis, in exchange for the eight hostages being released on Thursday (including five Thai workers).
30 life-term prisoners and 20 others serving various sentences will be freed in exchange for the release of IDF observer Agam Berger. For the release of Arbel Yehud, Israel will free 30 minors and women. In exchange for Gadi Mozes, 30 prisoners will be released, including 27 serving varying terms and three others serving life sentences.
Motti Avraham, a member of the Beit Shean City Council, was murdered in a terrorist attack at the Likud branch in the city in 2002. Six Israelis altogether were murdered in that attack. Among those being released is Zacharia Zubeidi, whom the security establishment deems responsible for the attack. Zubeidi was the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades commander in Jenin, responsible for multiple terror attacks. Zubeidi was also one of six Gilboa Prison escapees in 2021.
Another murderer to be released is Sami Jaradat, an Islamic Jihad commander from the Jenin area involved in the 2003 bombing of the Maxim restaurant in Haifa that killed 21 people.
Here is a list of the rest of the terrorists with blood on their hands being released, alongside their offenses:
Mohammed Abu Warda: A Hamas member who sent suicide bombers to blow themselves up on Jerusalem buses in attacks that killed 45 people. Warda was sentenced to 48 life sentences.
Wael Qassem, Wassam Abbasi, and Mohammed Odeh: Members of a Hamas terror cell responsible for bombings that killed 35 people, including attacks at a Hebrew University cafeteria, Rishon LeZion’s Shefayim Club, and a Jerusalem Café.
Thabet Mardawi: An Islamic Jihad commander serving 21 life terms plus 40 years for organizing suicide bombings in Hadera, Afula, Binyamina, and Kiryat Motzkin, shooting attacks, and a car bombing. His attacks during the Second Intifada killed 20 people and injured around 150 more.
Omar al-Zaben: A Hamas commander serving 27 life sentences for attacks that killed 27 Israelis.
Abdullah Sharbati, Majdi Zaatari, and Samer al-Atrash: Members of a cell who masterminded a 2003 suicide bombing that killed 23 people in Jerusalem, including seven children.
Ahmad Barghouti: Sentenced to 13 life terms for ordering attacks that killed 12 Israelis during the Second Intifada. He is a cousin of Marwan Barghouti, a high-profile terrorist expected to be deported later.
Mohammed Naifeh: Planned attacks on Hermesh and Kibbutz Metzer in which 8 Israelis were murdered.
Mohammed Amoudi: Sent a suicide bomber to Tel Aviv who killed 11 people at a food stand in 2006.
Ramadan Mashahra: Involved in the 2002 suicide bombing aboard a bus in Jerusalem that killed 19 people.
Shadi Amouri: A member of Islamic Jihad who helped plan a 2002 car bombing that killed 17 people at the Megiddo Junction.
Ali Safuri: A senior Islamic Jihad figure involved in multiple terror attacks that killed 9 people and injured more than 100.
Muhammad Kashua: Drove the suicide bomber who blew himself up in the Hadera market in October 2004. He was sentenced to six life terms.
Tarek Batran: In 2004, he carried out a shooting attack in which security guard Sami Kamalat was murdered.
Ashraf Abu-Srour: A Palestinian Authority employee convicted of shooting dead the soldier Shahar Vakrat near Rachel’s Tomb in 2000.
Oren Almog, 32, who was blinded and lost his father and brother in the attack at Maxim, told Ynet: “This is definitely a difficult and painful day, but at the same time, I can say that I am willing to pay the personal price and put my pain aside so that those kidnapped can return to their families. In my opinion, this is more important.”
