Deputy Minister Michael Oren of the Kulanu party urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday night to “evict the United Nations from Jerusalem” in response to the world body’s passage of the UN General Assembly resolution rejecting U.S. President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
Israel must sever Jerusalem’s ties with the UN, Oren said, in the same way the UN hopes to sever Israel’s ties with Jerusalem.
As the UN denies Israel’s bonds with Jerusalem, Israel must sever Jerusalem’s ties with the UN. We must evict the UN from the scenic Governor’s House, where it’s bloated staff does nothing, and give this historic site to a school, a hospital or, best yet, a new US embassy.

Along a similar vein, Oren suggested the United States close the Palestine Liberation Organization’s mission in Washington DC in response to the vicious anti-American campaign waged by the Palestinian Authority’s leading Fatah faction — both led by Mahmoud Abbas — which called President Trump an “irrelevant clown” and compared him to Hitler.
“So the Palestinians show disrespect for Americans and ingratitude for hundreds of millions in U.S. aid,” Oren tweeted Thursday night. “Shouldn’t the U.S. respond by at least closing the PLO’s DC embassy?”
