David Katz, a 24-year-old from Baltimore, has been identified by Jacksonville Sheriff Mike Williams, as the shooter in a Madden NFL 19 video game tournament, on Sunday afternoon.
At least nine people were injured to various degrees in the attack. Two people were killed, and it appears the shooter then killed himself.
The tournament was being held in a Chicago Pizza restaurant at the Jacksonville Landing, which was live-streaming the football video game.
As of now, there is no explanation as to what set off the shooter. Katz had previously won the Madden NFL 17 Bills Championship tournament, according to News4Jax.
This was the third mass shooting attack in Florida in the past two years.
