Israel, the United States and Britain synchronized separate, massive attacks Friday on Iran’s proxy in Yemen, the Houthis, Israeli media reported.

However, although the US and the UK carried out their separate strikes against the Iranian proxy in coordination with Israel, neither government issued a statement on the coordinated attack.

Israel’s attack coincided with a pro-Hamas rally in Yemen.

With the direction of the IDF Intelligence Directorate and the Israeli Navy, Israeli Air Force fighter jets struck Houthi military targets on the western coast and inland Yemen.

“The Houthi terrorist regime has repeatedly attacked the State of Israel, its citizens, and civilian infrastructure in Israel, including UAVs and surface-to-surface missiles,” the IDF said in a statement following the coordinated attack.

“The State of Israel has the right and obligation to defend itself.”

More than 20 aircraft took part in the attack.

Some 50 bombs and missiles were dropped on military infrastructure sites in the Hizaz power station, which served as a central source of military energy for the Houthi terrorist regime.

The IDF also struck oil storage facilities at the Hodeidah and Ras Isa ports on Yemen’s western coast.

The operation required airborne refueling due to the 2,000-kilometer (1,240-mile) distance from Israel.

“The targets struck are examples of the Houthis’ exploitation of civilian infrastructure for its terrorist activities,” the IDF noted.

The Houthi attacks on international shipping vessels and routes are continuing to destabilize the region and the wider world on behalf of Iran.

“While the Houthi terrorist regime operates as an independent terrorist organization, it relies on Iranian cooperation and funding to attack the State of Israel and its citizens,” the IDF said.

Earlier this week, the Houthis fired at least three explosive drones at the central Israeli city of Tel Aviv and others aimed at the southern Israeli port city of Eilat, along the Red Sea. The Iranian proxy also targeted the USS Harry S. Truman, an aircraft carrier, in the Red Sea, a Houthi spokesperson confirmed.

The Jewish State will continue to operate at “any distance against any threat” to the State of Israel and its citizens, the IDF emphasized.
