As President Donald Trump was walking down the crowd of well wishers, being introduced by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Israel’s top dignitaries, the Knesset joker, MK Oren Hazan (Likud), grabbed his phone and asked the president’s permission to snap a selfie. Trump was happy to oblige, but the Prime Minister physically tried to block the shot.

According to MK Hazan, he told the US President: “People say I am considered the Israeli Trump.” Apparently, the delay had to do with a malfunction of Hazan’s smartphone. “He waited patiently,” Hazan noted. “I think it was a historic moment for him, too.”
On Israel radio, Hazan said he had a NIS 2000 bet with MK Miki Zohar that he could get a selfie with the President. Clearly one should never bet against Oren Hazan.
