Israel’s consul in New York, Dani Dayan, ascended to the Temple Mount on Monday morning with his wife and daughter, Srugim reported.
Dayan’s daughter, Ofir, is an activist in the student movement for the Temple Mount, and encourages secular Jews to visit the Temple Mount.

Consul Dayan, the former chairman of the Yesha Council, is in Israel for a personal visit, and despite the ban on MKs going up to the Temple Mount more than once in three months, decided to ascend to the mountain to bolster Jewish sovereignty there.
Dayan said that “the Temple Mount is under Israeli sovereignty and will remain so.”
