The attack took place at around 3:30 pm on Avenue J between East 13th and East 14th Streets – one of the busiest areas of the Midwood section of Brooklyn.

Local sources said the man suddenly started punching the older Jewish victim and kicked him as well before leaving just as suddenly.

NYPD police officers and Flatbush Shomrim volunteers who responded to the incident searched the area for nearly two hours but were unable to track down the perpetrator, who remained at large.
