Building staff noticed the damage when they arrived shortly after 7 am.

The vandalism was recorded shortly after 4:30 am Saturday by security cameras, and is under investigation by Fairfax County police.

This is the second time the building has been vandalized in the past two years, according to David Yaffe, president of the JCC board of directors, who was quoted by WTOP News.

In April 2017, swastikas covered the front of the building, he said. A church down the road was also vandalized at that time.

“We will continue our extensive security measures and ask the community to remain alert and vigilant,” the center said in a release.

No arrests have yet been made.
