Asked whether following the Rebbe’s advice with his son’s life at stake was difficult, Steinsaltz said, “Look, it was a difficult thing, but in situations like this where you really know very little – and I knew enough about the subject to know that all the rest knew very little – I had to trust that the Rebbe’s ability to see is much bigger than anybody else.”
