Perhaps one of the highlights of this year’s event was the publication of the Simcha Handbook and Planner, which features full length articles by top experts in the categories of fashion, photography, weight loss, and more. The Simcha Handbook and Planner also has an extensive vendor list, assisting one in planning everything from a bris to a black-tie wedding.
But the true highlight of the event was the red carpet runway, when we were all treated to the children’s and adult fashion shows. Actual runways were set up for the models with perfect planning and all those who walked the runway performed as true “runway models.” Seats were set up to view the models and fashions as any design fashion show is.
Zoe, Ltd, courtesy of Susan Mandel and Blimi Chesir, featured designs for the children’s fashion show.
The exquisite red carpet adult fashions featured long gowns, short evening dresses; bridal gowns, a “splash of metallic, as well as embroidery and other embellishments,” said Raquel Urbach of Raquel Couture on Central Avenue. The accessories of gloves and hats were amazing, and one felt that they were transported from Paris or Milan.
Kudos to all the women who worked so hard every detail of the event, from appetizer to drinks to catering to room décor, was done to perfection.
Whoever participated knew that this event’s success was due to the tireless work that came from the hearts of so many hard working people to give to so many.
“This year we wanted to do an event that helps people on so many levels,” said Esther Silber-Berg. ”We feel very privileged to be raising money for a cause that saves Jewish lives. It is a privilege to do so and that is why we really are going above and beyond to make sure this is a truly spectacular and memorable night.”
And so they did. It was a spectacular and memorable night.
