The Emunah South Florida Circle of Life Benefit Dinner, which took place on February 3rd at the all-new Young Israel of Bal Harbour, recognized Deborah S. Chames of Hollywood, Gita Galbut of Miami Beach, Dana Tangir of Aventura, and Ella Herman of Bal Harbour as Women Who Make A Difference.
It was an evening that left all of the guests inspired about what Emunah does for Jews in Israel as well as what these four women have accomplished for our community, family, and friends in both America and Israel. Guest speaker Rhoda Dermer, wife of Israel’s ambassador to the United States, Ron Dermer (a South Florida native) shared a personal and uplifting message of the difference Israel makes in our lives and the difference Emunah makes for Israel.
The evening’s success was due to the hard work of dinner chairpersons Helene and Abbey Berkowitz, Elle and Jamie Bienenfeld, Susan and Mayor Martin Packer, and Sandra and Arthur Spolter, and the entire dinner committee.
Emunah (www.Emunah.org) was born from the vision of a few determined women in Israel in 1935, has grown to a network of over 250 programs for Israel’s people, offering love, care, comfort, and hope to those who need it most.
