The Lubavitch Educational Center in Miami recently packed the social hall of the Shul of Bal Harbour for the largest father/son farbrengen South Florida has ever seen.
The school has joined forces with the worldwide Tzivos Hashem movement, which has students learning thousands of lines of Tanya by heart as a fitting way to usher in rosh chodesh Nissan and the birthday of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, zt”l.
The evening began with fathers and sons learning parshah together. The crowd enjoyed a medley of niggunim. Sixth grader Shuee Shaulson shared an inspiring story of Tanya Ba’al Peh. His younger brother Yossi chanted 35 lines and received the loudest applause of the night.
The evening concluded as program director Rabbi Yakov Garfinkel awarded each student with a new Tzivos Hashem Haggadah and certificate of achievements. Students stood proudly with their parents celebrating their tremendous success.
Rabbi Sholom Ber Lipskar hosted the event, Yankee and Devora Andrusier helped coordinate it, Rabbi Beny Korf sponsored the meal, Mrs. Rachel Basso contributed many hours of volunteer work and Rabbi Shimmy Weinabum ensured the arrival of the seforim.
