Chabad of South Broward will be hosting an inspiring Selichot service featuring world-renowned chazzan Rabbi Yossi Lebovics on Saturday night, August 31 (September 1) at 1:15 a.m. The rabbi will be joined by the talented Lebovics Boys Choir.
Rabbi Lebovics serves as principal of the Chaya Aydel Seminary in Hallandale Beach, Florida. The bat mitzvah (12th year) of the school will begin right after Simchat Torah.
Selichot will be preceded this year by a fabregen with Rabbi David Nesenoff. A fascinating discussion is promised. The fabregen is scheduled for 11:30 p.m.
Rabbi Nesenoff has many interests and talents. He is a publisher, journalist and filmmaker. He was the intervention consultant for the United States Justice Department’s Civil Rights Monitors Office for the largest civil rights violation consent decree in U.S. history. He recently authored a book titled David’s Harp. He is known for being the reporter who outed the late Helen Thomas, who under his questioning revealed her anti-Israel bias.
