Comedian James Corden from the The Late Late Show took over a shift as Yisroel Dubov, an employee of Western Kosher on Fairfax in L.A. on a recent Friday afternoon. We couldn’t help noticing that the first transaction that took place when he came into the store included a customer buying The Jewish Press. Corden tried his hand at various jobs around the store including tallying up customer orders and giving a bag of grapes for free (because he didn’t want to bother weighing it), butchering meat and packaging it with a smiley face, cutting his wife’s credit card on the bandsaw, visiting the warehouse and clearing inventory, driving the forklift back to the store and jocularly messing with customers. He regularly wished customers Good Shabbas and even sung the popular nigun, Kei’tzad Miraglim.
