In her January 3, 2025 “In Focus” report, Jewish News Syndicate (JNS) senior editor Caroline Glick probed the terrorist attacks in America on New Year’s Day and related them to other attacks over the past two decades, looking for patterns and finding areas of commonality.

Some were matters of style, such as the attackers all renting white pickup trucks to imitate ISIS. There was also an alarming commonality, however: The attackers were uniformly first or second-generation American Muslims. Some had even served in the U.S. military, most notably Major Dr. Nidal Hasan, whose massacre of 13 fellow soldiers and one female civilian at Fort Hood, Texas was disingenuously labeled by the Obama administration as “workplace violence.”

Beyond that, all of the perpetrators had reportedly become more religiously devout in the months preceding their attacks which, when it comes to Islam, can result in their becoming violent. How did they become more religious? The logical place to look at is the mosques they attended. Indeed, the connection becomes obvious when we learn that fellow congregants of the mosque allegedly attended by the driver who plowed into a crowd in New Orleans this New Year’s, killing 15 and injuring over 35, were instructed not to answer questions about him, and if the FBI came calling, to refer them either to the Islamic Center of Greater Houston (ICHG) or to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which the Center for Security Policy and other experts view as the American branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, a radical Islamist organization courted by the Obama administration. (Likewise, Hamas is the Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood.)

Since CAIR, one of 200 unindicted co-conspirators in the Holyland Foundation trial which established that nearly every Muslim institution in America raises funds for terrorism, is estimated to control 90% of American mosques, we can conclude that those mosques serve as incubators for terrorism, and learn the approach they use from the pronouncements of their clergy, the imams. Indeed, CAIR executive director Nihad Awad said in his November 15, 2024, Friday sermon at the Muslim Community Center in Silver Spring, Maryland, that Islam needs to be marketed to the American people and once it is, will be respected and followed.

In actuality, beyond approving incredibly cruel acts of brutality in the October 7 massacre, many imams have followed up with a deluge of incendiary, slanderous rhetoric. Bearing in mind that what Islamists say in English is in stark contrast to what they say in Arabic, here we present a representative sample of how those imams present Islam to Muslims, as summarized on the website of the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), which has undertaken the Imam Project to catalogue the preaching of major American imams (the full video clips of these can be found at https://memri.org/tv by scrolling down to the heading “Clips From Sermons By Imams In The West Project”):

  • In an August 16, 2024 Friday sermon at Masjid Bilal of Houston, where Shamsid Din Jabbar, the perpetrator of the January 1, 2025 New Orleans attack, reportedly worshipped, Imam Mohammed ElFarooqui discussed the Quranic story of the People of Saturday. The story recounts a group of Jews who were forbidden by Allah to fish on Saturday. Despite no fish being present during the week, fish appeared in abundance on Saturday. Some of them, however, dug trenches and placed bait to trap the fish on the Sabbath, defying Allah’s command. ElFarooqui explained that Allah punished them by turning them into monkeys, pigs, and rats. He added that the Jews believed Allah only observed them in Jerusalem, leading them to wreak havoc across the earth. The Imam prayed for Allah to liberate Al-Aqsa Mosque from the ‘plunderers’ and send His soldiers to defeat the Zionists.
  • In a previous sermon on November 17, 2023, the mosque’s Imam, Eiad Soudan, claimed that Jews seek to dominate the economy in any country they reside, which he argued was the reason for Hitler’s actions during World War II. He further stated that European support for Israel was motivated by a desire to prevent Jews from returning to their home countries.”
  • In his December 20, 2024, Friday sermon at the Muslim Community Center in Brooklyn, NY, Imam Hassan Akbar stated that Muslims around the world were happy to see the “freedom Fighters” Ismail Haniyeh and Yahya Sinwar, leaders of Hamas, when they “decided to straighten their backs” and fight for liberation. He further emphasized that Islam will eventually reach every single home on the face of the planet.
  • Michigan Imam Abdou Al-Wali Zindani said in a November 28, 2024 video that there will be no peace until Israel is uprooted from the Palestinian lands and withdraws its forces from the Middle East. He added that once Israel gives the Palestinians their rights, Israelis will be welcome to immigrate or visit Muslim lands, like in the past, but if they want to plunder the land and money, infringe upon the honor of its inhabitants, and expel the people of Syria, Palestine, and Lebanon from their countries, “this would be the epitome of stupidity.” Zindani continued to say that Israelis are not Jews and that “they were sent from Europe, America, and the Western countries in order to annihilate everybody and take over their money.”
  • In January, Imam Zindani said in a Friday sermon that the Muslims will slaughter the Jews like sheep. Abdou Zindani is imam at the Islamic Universal Services Association in Warren, Michigan. He presented at the November 2023 interfaith Thanksgiving service organized by the InterFaith Leadership Council of Metropolitan Detroit.
  • In a December 1, 2024 lecture at Masjid William Salaam in Norfolk, Virginia, Imam Ismael Saleem argued that to truly support Palestine, Jews and Christians must reject the Bible and accept Islam as the ultimate truth. He claimed that belief in the Bible prevents them from fully supporting Palestinians, adding that America is the “last stronghold of Christianity,” while the British are increasingly abandoning Christianity and adopting Islam. Saleem called on Muslims to “cure the ills of the Jews” by teaching them the “ultimate truth is Islam.” The lecture was streamed live on Saleem’s Facebook page.
  • On December 13, 2024, during the “Friday Forum” at the Islamic Center of Passaic County (ICPC) in Clifton, NJ, Imam Sheikh Osamah Salhia said that the “victory in Syria” is a collective victory for the Muslims, akin to what the liberation of Jerusalem from the “filth of Zionism” would be. Zaied Abbassi, an Islamic scholar at ICPC, responded to this, saying that the “nation of Muhammad” has no boundaries and, if Allah allowed it, he would like to see the entire world within this nation, led by a just Caliph. Later, Abbassi referenced the hadith about Muslims fighting the Jews at the End of Times, calling it a “famous hadith,” and saying that it was popularized by Hamas in their charter. Sheikh Salhia shared that recent events in Gaza had deepened his understanding of this hadith.

Abbassi added that while the hadith may not refer to current times, the “Zionist entity” could fall, Islam would flourish, and the prophecy of Muslims fighting the Jews – where Jews would hide behind trees and rocks – could come to pass in a future battle.

  • In his December 13, 2024 Friday sermon, Kent State University professor of Mathematics and Imam of the Islamic Society of Akron and Kent in Ohio, Nader Taha, stated that Gaza had planted the ‘seed of freedom’ for the entire world. He said that in the October 7, 2023 Al-Aqsa Flood, “we have seen miracle, after miracle, after miracle.” In a previous sermon on November 10, 2023, Taha said that before October 7, the Al-Aqsa Mosque was insulted and disgraced, and it was calling out to the Muslims to liberate it and purify it from the filth it was in, a call that the brothers and sisters in Gaza answered. He continued to say that Allah had promised that the Children of Israel would be humiliated and defeated, and this is what happened to them on October 7. Imam Nader Taha is involved in local interfaith activity and in 2017 he was appointed a member of County Executive Ilene Shapiro’s advisory council of diversity and inclusion.”

Meanwhile, as reported by MEMRI Executive Director Stephen Stalinsky, Ph.D., we are not alone in this battle:

In the summer of 2023, the MEMRI JTTM Project released a seminal study titled “ISIS In Africa” …The report detailed how ISIS’s branches in Africa – Islamic State Central African Province (ISCAP), Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), and Islamic State-Mozambique (ISMP) – have been attacking and terrorizing Christians across the continent, killing civilians, destroying churches, kidnapping Christians for ransom, forcing conversions, taking slaves, and destroying symbols and signs of Christianity. As noted, these groups are thoroughly documenting their attacks, publishing detailed descriptions, photos, and videos on their media outlets and social media accounts.

At the time of publication, this report was shared with international bodies and legislatures, as well as religious leaders and media outlets. Yet to date there has been little to no response or action to help the Christians being targeted, and thousands more have been killed since.

At present, their shared obsessive hatred of Jews and Israel is the glue holding together the “odd couple” of leftists and Islamists. Just as the African-Jewish Alliance has presented irrefutable evidence of Muslim slaughter and persecution of Black Africans, especially Christians – which should warn Black Americans and their supporters of the danger of allying themselves with the Islamists – we can hope that the widespread dissemination of the true nature and ultimate goals of the Islamists as expressed by their imams may cause their “useful idiots” on the Left to question the wisdom of the red-green alliance.

They need only ponder the historical record of how, after gobbling up continental Europe, Hitler’s Germany turned against Stalin’s Russia to realize the fate that awaits them.
