…we have again clearly stated our position, purposely hinging it upon what we consider the one unfortunate phrase in the Declaration – that Palestine shall be the national home-land for the Jew. I wish also to state that this is the unanimous report of all members of the Committee.

The CCAR secretary was instructed to send a telegraph to President Woodrow Wilson opposing the establishment of a Jewish state. To help fight the Zionists, the CCAR also passed a resolution that CCAR annual conventions “meet regularly at the same time and in the same city with the recognized corresponding body of Orthodox Judaism.”
