Most assume my Hebrew name is Yardena since my English name is Jordana. Actually, it’s Yonina, after my maternal grandfather, Yonah. When asked to write about doves, I immediately said yes – it’s my name! Yonina, Yona, Dove.

The symbolism of the dove resonates deeply with who I am and the work I do:

  1. The dove returns to the ark with an olive branch, symbolizing peace and harmony. Through my podcast, community projects, and teaching, I strive to foster connection, understanding, and unity, helping others live in peace with themselves and those around them.
  2. The dove represents purity and sincerity. Whether sharing Torah insights, interviewing inspiring women, or uplifting others, I approach my work with authenticity and a commitment to meaningful connection.
  3. The dove’s unwavering loyalty mirrors my devotion to my family, community, and faith. I aim to spread positivity, wisdom, and spiritual nourishment.
  4. The dove sent from Noah’s ark symbolizes hope and new beginnings, a message I strive to share with others. Helping people find resilience through Torah, embrace their unique journeys, and transform challenges into opportunities is my passion.
  5. Doves also represent divine inspiration and elevation. I work to help others connect with something greater, whether through Torah teachings, exploring the soul’s power through music, or inspiring spiritual and emotional growth.
