The past 15 months have been the most meaningful and fulfilling of my life.
Since October 7, we have been utilizing DansDeals to distribute tefillin to men who 1) commit to begin wrapping them every day, and 2) can’t afford their own pair.
We had an original goal to distribute one pair for every soul Hamas took from us. Baruch Hashem, to date, we have distributed over 2,500 pairs of tefillin via our new charity called Tefillin Connection.
The feedback has been inspiring. Dozens of men worldwide who had no connection to a rabbi are now members of a shul in their neighborhood. IDF soldiers fighting on the front lines to protect us have a new source of protection that they wrap daily.
Our sages explain that in the merit of Jewish men wrapping tefillin our enemies will fear us. With all the miracles we have seen since 10/7, I believe that the incredible 3,000-plus people who donated and the 2,500-plus men who started wrapping tefillin daily played a big part in those miracles.
May they be a zechus for us to know an everlasting peace with Mashiach now.
