Simcha Yisraeli lost her son, Roni Yisraeli zl, in Jerusalem’s French Hill neighborhood, when a terrorist detonated a bomb just as the young man was trying to get to work across town.

 

Cooked Bulgur

Serves 6:

 

Ingredients

¼ cup of oil

2 onions (diced finely)

4 tomatoes (peeled and diced finely)

½ tsp tomato paste

2 tbsp powdered chicken soup mix

Salt, black pepper for flavor

3 cups of bulgur

 

Directions:

  1. In medium-sized pot, heat the oil and fry the onions until they turn golden brown.
  1. Add the tomatoes and the tomato paste and mix together.
  1. Add salt, pepper and chicken soup powder and 6 cups of water.
  1. Put the bulgur into a strainer and wash. Add the bulgur to the pot (with previous ingredients) and boil it on a high flame.
  1. Lower the flame after it starts boiling and let it cook and simmer for 20 minutes while the pot is covered.
