Cooked Bulgur
Serves 6:
Ingredients
¼ cup of oil
2 onions (diced finely)
4 tomatoes (peeled and diced finely)
½ tsp tomato paste
2 tbsp powdered chicken soup mix
Salt, black pepper for flavor
3 cups of bulgur
Directions:
- In medium-sized pot, heat the oil and fry the onions until they turn golden brown.
- Add the tomatoes and the tomato paste and mix together.
- Add salt, pepper and chicken soup powder and 6 cups of water.
- Put the bulgur into a strainer and wash. Add the bulgur to the pot (with previous ingredients) and boil it on a high flame.
- Lower the flame after it starts boiling and let it cook and simmer for 20 minutes while the pot is covered.
