Spring could not come soon enough! I know I’m not alone in hoping for longer days and some warmth. Pesach is also rapidly approaching and you might want to add some fresh pieces to your closet. Here are some of spring’s hottest trends and the best ways to incorporate them into your wardrobe.
Polka Dots
Polka dots are a fun print and there are so many ways to play with this trend. A polka dot dress is my personal favorite; depending on your feelings about prints you can do it with a subtle dot print or a bolder, larger-scale polka dot print. Either way, it’s a cute and flirty option that will be versatile as you can dress it up or down.
A polka dot pair of shoes or handbag would also be a great addition to an outfit. A polka dot button-down shirt with a denim pencil skirt is another way to easily incorporate the trend in a casual way.
Pastels
If you like wearing black, grays and neutrals, this trend might not be for you. But for those of you who enjoy color, this is the easiest trend to go for. Peaches, mint greens, blush pinks, lavenders, baby blues, and lemon yellows were seen all over the runway this year.
If you want to take it to the next level, try color blocking by pairing two or three contrasting pastel shades together. For example, you can try a lemon yellow top with a lavender pink skirt or blush pink dress with mint green shoes. If you want to incorporate pastels in a subtle way, just add a pop of pastel to an all white or neutral look.
Fancy Denim
Embellished jeans, embroidered jeans, and jeans with pearls are everywhere. Try it with a denim skirt to really elevate your every day look. I’m terrible with all things DIY, but if you’re crafty, try adding some fun embellishments to your denim skirt on your own! And then I’ll give you mine to do next. 🙂
Sequins
While we’re on the topic of embellishments, I’m happy to say that sequins were seen everywhere as well. Sequins doesn’t always have to mean party attire – try pairing a sequin skirt with a casual t-shirt or knit top for some versatility in a fun daytime look.
Ruffles
Ruffles tend to be a trend you either love or hate. I won’t try to convince you either way, but, if you are a fan, they add a sweet and feminine touch to your look. You can try a ruffle wrap dress or a ruffle sleeve sweater.
What trend will you be trying this spring?
