Derek Jeter batted .256 with only four home runs in 581 at bats in 2014. His fielding range was more limited and that shouldn’t be hard to replace. But you can’t replace all the great years he gave the Yankees. He had a career .310 average and hit 308 in 158 post-season games. You can’t replace his class.

Ryan Braun had an off- season in 2014, batting only .266 with 19 home runs. Braun, who was suspended for using performance-enhancing drugs the season before, has to prove he can be a superstar based purely on his own natural ability.
