As Hamas terror tunnels continue to make news in the Gaza border region, at least one Jewish community in Judea and Samaria has reported a similar phenomenon. According to Breaking News Israel, a Christian-Zionist website, residents of Hebron say they uncovered a tunnel near the Beit Hadassah neighbourhood in the City of Fathers.

The website said members of the elite IDF engineering unit Yahalom uncovered a network of terror tunnels in and around the Hebron area during Operation Brothers Keeper, the massive manhunt for Eyal Yifrah, Gil-Ad Sha’ar and Naftali Fraenkel.

“We have just discovered a tunnel in Hebron, next to Beit Hadassah, under an Arab house, in the direction of the neighborhood playground for children,” Hebron community spokesman David Wilder told the website.

The report cited a series of tunnels and holes used to store weapons and explosives.
