“As the threat of the challenges become global, the more the world must propose unified solutions.  The cooperation between nations, is not longer an option but a necessary solution.”  Maj. Gen. Ram Rothberg, commander of the Israeli Navy, speaks at the launching of the new submarine INS Tanin on May 3, 2012.  This is the 4th submarine in the Israeli Navy.  It was built in Germany at the Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft (HDW) shipyard.  Defense technology information sources report that “the 68 meter long ‘Super Dolphin’ submarine is believed to be the largest produced in Germany since World War II”.
