In letters to Zoom and UC Merced Chancellor Juan Sánchez Muñoz, the organization notes that the event featuring Leila Khaled could violate federal law by providing material support or resources to a foreign terrorist organization.
In response, San Francisco State University Professor Rabab Abdulhadi posted on social media: “We are not accepting Zoom’s caving in to Zionist and racist pressures. SFSU has an obligation to protect our classes.”

The community’s traditional culture and clan-based lifestyle will be fully protected and insulated from outside influences in a location only four miles away that provides electricity, running water, a government-built school and many other basic modern “conveniences.”
If the University is unwilling, the State must stop this outrageous abuse once and for all. It is wrong and it is dangerous.
Someone scammed California taxpayers, using their money for faculty meet-ups with terrorists.
