A Syrian mortar shell landed and exploded near the security fence in the central Golan Heights Monday afternoon. No injuries or damage was reported. The IDF said that the firing probably was not intended to strike Israel.
A mortar shell, apparently from fighting in Syria, hit near the village of Majdal Shams in the northern Golan Heights. It is believed that the mortar was launched from the Syrian side of the Hermon mountain. No injuries or damage were reported from the hit.
Hamas never has held its fire for very long. The recent escalation in violence suggests it is acting out of weakness and not of strength, knowing Israel will retaliate every time, as it did again Tuesday.
