Two IDF Soldiers Die from Injuries

The IDF announced Saturday night that two soldiers have died from injuries suffered in the war on terror in Gaza. The death toll of Israel soldiers in the Protective Edge campaign now is 42.

They were identified as Infantry Corps Captain Liad Lavi, 22, from Talmei Yosef, who was injured in combat on Thursday, and Command Sergeant Major, Rami Chalon, 39, from Hadera, an Infantry non-commissioned officer, who was wounded last Tuesday.

Moments before the announcement, Israeli radio interviewed the father of one of the soldiers, who asked everyone to pray for a speedy recovery for his son and added that he urged the government and the IDF to continue the fighting until Israel can sleep in safety.
