A Fireside Chat

My favorite? The Chicago style deep dish pizza for two, topped with marinara, roasted mushrooms, sautéed onions, ground beef and crunchy little strips of smoked veal that was big enough to be a meal in and of itself. There are salads, soups and fish on the menu as well, for those looking for something a little lighter, and Fireside offers a nice selections of wine, beer and liquor for those who enjoy a little something alcoholic to go with their meal.

Be sure to check out the dessert menu which is limited but powerful. One friend who heard we were going to Fireside warned us not to leave without tasting the blueberry rhubarb donuts, fresh warm donut holes topped with rhubarb and Fireside’s tastes-so-good-you’d-swear-it-was-dairy whipped cream. The gluten free Sunday Sundae, a disc of flourless chocolate cake topped with three scoops of ice cream, chocolate and caramel sauces, whipped cream and almond brittle is endlessly creamy and hard to resist and the salted caramel ice cream is a must try. The s’more lava cake, a hot molten chocolate cake topped with bruleed marshmallows, chocolate graham cracker sticks and strawberry sauce, balanced with a great peanut butter ice cream is a small slice of heaven for chocolate lovers who, no matter how much they have already eaten, will find themselves scraping the sides of the bowl in order to get every last drop of this dessert. (I know I did!)

Able to seat 80 downstairs, 75 upstairs and featuring a comfortable volume level, Fireside is an excellent choice for a terrific meal, a date, a business meeting and private parties. With huge portions and moderate prices, it is a great addition to the kosher restaurant arena, be it for those who live in Monsey, those who live near Monsey, those who are passing through on their way upstate or just about anyone else who is looking for a restaurant experience that is relaxing, enjoyable and most importantly delicious. Now close your eyes, click your heels together three times and repeat after me: “There’s no place like Fireside. There’s no place like Fireside.”
