At least one Bedouin male was moderately wounded Wednesday night in a shooting that took place between extended family members in Wadi Joz.

The injured party showed up at the entrance to  Jerusalem’s Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center, where some people erroneously believed the shooting had taken place on site.

Doctors and other medical personnel at the hospital treated the wounded individual. The motive for the shooting was unknown, although it is believed there was a criminal background, possibly a blood feud.

The Hadassah Medical Organization subsequently released a statement Wednesday night saying that two additional Bedouin – also from Wadi Joz -- appeared at the hospital’s Mt. Scopus campus.

Both were suffering from moderate gunshot wounds as well as moderate to severe injuries resulting from being struck by a car.

Security personnel confirmed that no terrorism was involved.
