Bernie Sanders Tattoos the Rage in New England

Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders' supporters are performing group violations of the biblical commandment against tattoos ("Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the Lord," Leviticus 19:28), as a shop named "Aartistic Inc Tattoo" in Montpelier, Vermont, is offering a free tattoo of the former volunteer in Kibutz Sha'arei Ha'amakim, in his current physical condition, with frizzy hair, thick glasses and high hopes.

The Burlington Free Press cited the tattoo shop owner who said the unique promotion started last Friday and will run probably as long as Sanders does.

So far, Sanders' icon has been tattooed on the arms, legs, necks and ribs of dozens of Vermont residents. Tattoo artist Jessica Andrew said she inked the image on eight people during the last two days alone. And artist Chad Fay said he had done at least 15 over the past week.

Beats those silly butterflies.
