Bomb Explodes Along Highway Next to Efrat

A bomb exploded next to an IDF lookout point, just north of the town of Efrat in Gush Etzion, around 8:30 AM on Monday.

No one was injured in the attack, according to Hatzalah Yo"sh.

The bomb was placed at the IDF lookout point known as Kever HaSheihk, which is an abandoned building on a hill located along Highway 60, just before the turnoff to Efrat's northern entrance.

The bomb targeted the IDF troops who intermittently patrol and guard there.

When the army isn't patrolling there, Arabs have occasionally used that location to throw stones at cars on the highway.

The IDF is searching for the terrorists who planted the explosive device.

In a separate attack, at around 10 AM, a firebomb was thrown at the #160 bus as it passed by Karmei Tzur in Gush Etzion, according to a TPS report.
