Speaking at a festive ceremony in honor of the latest group of adult trainees to have completed COJO Flatbush computer courses, New York City Councilmember Mathieu Eugene expressed his continued and enthusiastic support for the program and personally handed each trainee a certificate.

Dr. Eugene spoke of the central role computers play in all aspects of modern life and congratulated the trainees for taking the time and making the effort to enhance their knowledge and potential earning power.

COJO Flatbush CEO Louis Welz praised the Councilmember for his crucial role in obtaining the financial support necessary for the computer courses, which are part of the New York City Council’s Digital Literacy and Inclusion Initiative and are funded through the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development with discretionary grants by Eugene and fellow Councilmember Chaim Deutsch.

COJO Flatbush computer courses (Beginner and Advanced) are held twice weekly for an hour and a half, beginning at 8:30 p.m. For further information or to register, contact COJO Flatbush Director of Adult Education Caroline Edri at 718-377-2900 (ext. 7604) or cedri@jewishcouncil.org.
