Dubai Security Chief Says Arabs Should Let Jews Run Things

Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, the Head of General Security for the Emirate of Dubai, who led the investigation of the 2010 alleged Mossad assassination of terrorist Mahmoud Al-Mabhouh, tweeted on Tuesday that it's better to abandon the idea of an Arab state next door to Israel.

"A Palestinian state managed by Arabs will be just another backwards country in the Arab world," Tamim argued. "The Arabs should live under Jewish leadership, until, in 70 years, they'll become the majority population. Let them learn from the Jews and then take over the country, the way it is today in South Africa."

In another tweet, Tamim said: "We shouldn't call the Jews our enemies, but cousins who are having differences over the land."

Tamim described the failure of the Arabs to run a state, compared with the significant economic skills of the Jews. "Today the Jews are running the world's economy, without the Jews the Arabs wouldn’t have even known to deposit their money in a bank."

Tamim ran a survey on his Tweeter account, asking his followers if they support his views, and 57% answered that "there's no place for Jews in our country."
