If reconciliation talks between Hamas and the Palestinian Authority don't explode before then, Hamas, Fatah and the other 11 terrorist factions have agreed to hold elections by the end of 2018 for both president and parliament of the Palestinian Authority.

The last time presidential elections were held was in 2005, when Fatah won.

General elections were held in 2006, and Hamas won the parliamentary majority.

A short time later, Hamas began throwing Fatah members off the roofs of building roofs in Gaza and took over absolute control over Gaza, leaving Judea and Samaria to the Palestinian Authority's Fatah group.

Reconciliation talks are being held in Cairo to reunite the two terrorist factions.
