In Hebrew: 'Bridge Gaps'

לְגַשֵּׁר פְּעָרִים

You may be familiar with the Hebrew word for a bridge - גֶּשֶׁר. Activating the word as a verb (of the active-intensive פִּעֵלvariety), Modern Hebrew has created a word for the metaphoric concept of bridging or to bridge - לְגַשֵּׁר. It also means to mediate. For example:

הַמַּאֲמָצִים לְגַשֵּׁר בֵּין שְׁתֵּי הַמְּדִינוֹת הִצְלִיחוּ בְּאֹפֶן חֶלְקִי. The efforts to mediate between the two states succeeded partially. Likewise, to bridge gaps is לְגַשֵּׁר פְּעָרִים, where פערים is the plural form of the word for gap, פַּעַר.
