Lag B’Omer In South Florida

One of the biggest Lag B’Omer celebrations in the country took place this year in Hallandale Beach, where more than 10,000 people showed up at Gulfstream Park.

Hallandale Beach is centrally located in the heart of South Florida between Miami Beach and Fort Lauderdale. In a united effort headed by contributions from the Shul of Bal Harbour, Chabad of the Grove, Chabad of South Broward and Florida's main office in Miami Beach, nearly 100 South Florida Chabad Centers came together to offer their version of the “Great Parade.”

Under the glow of the bright Florida sun, men, women and children lined up for their free customized neon colored Great Parade t-shirts and enjoyed a day full of festivities beginning with a beautiful parade featuring colorful floats, dancing clowns and marching bands.
