Hezbollah has threatened an attack on Israel - threatening to hit the city of Haifa, and then Tel Aviv. Hezbollah has missiles, swarms of deadly drones and terror tunnels into Israel. They say they can take out our electricity which could devastate Israeli citizens and cause the death of many. In the meantime, we have tens of thousands of Israeli citizens who have already been displaced, forced to evacuate their homes for already 8 months. How long can Israel tolerate this? What is the solution to taking out the northern threat from Hezbollah? Jonathan Pollard joins Tamar and says Israel has to give a devastating blow not only to the Hezbollah, but also to Iran, in order to save Israel (and the Free World). How? He explains in no uncertain terms.

Natalie interviews Zelig Krymko-Shmuelovich, who moved to Israel six months ago from Queens, New York City. Zelig, 47, divorced, explains that he is "happier" in Israel and has been experiencing better dating life here. He first came to Israel as a teenager with the Beitar Youth Movement, and luckily for him, he was able to learn Hebrew in high school and is now quite fluent. Zelig describes his actual move, from packing up the house, loading the boxes into a U-Haul truck, and explains how easy it can be. Zelig comments about the holiness of the Land and all the Blessings here, and the "realness" of the people. He clearly states, "Israelis are not fake." Zelig will be leading a tour sponsored by Israel365 on Jun 26th to the Hevron Hills. To learn more visit - https://israel365charity.com/hebron-and-southern-judea-day-trip/

Devorah Leah Andrusier is an addictions coach who helps people overcome their battle with all different types of addictions.
Devorah Leah tells us that for the addict, their addiction of choice (alcohol, drugs, sex, food, etc.) is the solution, not the problem. They are trying to numb themselves and escape their pain. Most addicts feel unseen; they have no one to lean on for support; they are wrestling with their pain alone.
So what can we do to help? Devorah Leah talks about the signs of addiction. She then emphasizes that if we have a loved one who is struggling, we should give them complete and unconditional love and acceptance--JUST BECAUSE WE LOVE AND ACCEPT SOMEONE DOESN'T MEAN THAT WE APPROVE OF THEIR BEHAVIOR. Devorah Leah really gives us some great tools to use when building relationships with our family and friends so that we can prevent a possible addiction in the future, and also, so that we help them if they are currently struggling.
Devorah Leah also talks about the difference between guilt and shame, which many addicts have.
Devorah Leah suggests that if you have a loved one who is struggling with drug addiction to please consider carrying the nasal spray called Narcan. (She talks about it during the interview.) If you administer Narcan during the first 2-3 minutes that someone has an overdose, you can save their life.
The opposite of addiction is connection.

Rebbetzin Fraidy Gerlitzly and her husband, Rabbi Levi Gerlitzky, run the Chabad Jewish Center Big Island in Kailua Kona, Hawaii. Rebbetzin Fraidy has trained with Sara Gita Soble to become a Relationshift coach in order to help women transform their relationships with their husbands, using the 13 Relationshift Principles that are based on genuine Torah sources.
Rebbetzin Fraidy shared three of those principles with us:
1. Receiving is made up of Space and Value--the man is the giver and the woman is the receiver. When a woman is open to receiving a man's thoughts and ideas, she creates a space for him to express himself (without jumping in, cutting him off, or yelling at him.) In addition, when a woman asks herself the value of what her husband contributes to their relationship, she can step back and truly see the good that he brings into the marriage. This helps her reframe him, and thereby reframe her perspective. What we look for, is what we find. When we perceive things differently, we act differently.
2. I Choose the Third Way--Often, a man will have one idea of what to do, and a woman will have a different idea of what to do in a certain situation. Instead of the usual 50/50 compromise, Rebbetzin Fraidy explains to us how opening space for a third way helps both the woman and the man to open up opportunities for another solution that works for them both.
3. I Choose to Trust the Connection--Trusting the connection strengthens the connection. Rebbetzin Fraidy talks about how women can tap into the connection between them and their husband that is always available.

Are you a single mother, widow or divorcee who dreads shabbos (shabbat)? Do you cry at the thought of having to spend shabbat alone, without your kids or anyone else to keep you company?
Yehudis Sherman felt the exact same way. After her divorce, she discovered, first hand, the loneliness that many women experience when they spend shabbat isolated from their families. In response to this situation, she created an organization called Mishpachtainu, to help other women, like herself, celebrate shabbat with joy, unity and the warmth of community. Mishpactainu is located in the Boro Park section of Brooklyn, but Jewish women from all over attend Yehudis' shabbat meals. She has a home that sleeps over 10 women, so out of town guests are welcome. Yehudis' shabbat table is beautifully decorated, and she cooks all different types of foods to accommodate everyone's diets (gluten free, etc.)
In addition to the shabbos meals, Yehudis offers a food pantry to provide women with basic household items from ketchup and napkins to tablecloths and makeup.
Mishpachtainu has helped many women make the turn around from lonely and depressed to supported and happy. They build a new network of friends from the women that they meet at Yehuds' shabbat table.
There is a significant cost in running Mishpachtainu. Yehudis is in need of financial donations, as well as donations of goods and services. For more information about the organization, and how to donate, visit mightymoms.love You can also donate via Zelle: donate@mishpachtainu.org

I am writing this as two “Aliyah Commandos” – Joshua Wander and Hila Oz - are on the way to Ben Gurion Airport for the first “Aliyah Commando” mission to New York. Over the past few weeks while helping to organize the itinerary, several people asked me: “Why are you doing this? Does Nefesh B’Nefesh need your help and the help of grassroots activists who have banded together to rally around the banner of Aliyah? Let’s say that your efforts succeed in bringing another 300 olim to Israel – is it worth the hoopla and all the shlepp?” In answer let me first say that an additional 300 olim to Israel would be wonderful. Every Jew who returns to Israel from the exile is doing something of cosmic significance. Our Rabbis tell us that every mitzvah has tremendous spiritual value, bringing blessing to all of the worlds. How much more so with the mitzvah of “Yishuv HaAretz” which our Sages declare weighs in value as much as all of the other mitzvot together!

Yet we are not setting out on this endeavor as shlichim for Nefesh B’Nefesh or for the Ministry of Aliyah or the Jewish Agency. Anyone we meet in America who is interested in Aliyah or in learning in Israel, whether in a yeshiva or in college, we will gladly direct to the appropriate agencies. That isn’t our main goal. We have a much different message than the typical Aliyah shaliach who comes with a briefcase filled with papers and forms. We are setting out, with the help of the Almighty, to awaken Diaspora Jewry from its slumber and to proclaim in a loud and clear fashion that THERE IS NO FUTURE FOR JEWISH LIFE IN GENTILE LANDS. The exile was never intended to last forever. In the Torah and throughout the Prophets we hear Hashem’s assurance that he will one day bring the Jews home. To a large measure, He has done that in the last 150 years. Now, the time has come for all of His children to return home to Zion. October 7 was not just any ordinary day. It was a Divinely-Orchestrated wake-up call in Israel and for Jews all over the world. Who imagined that such a barbarous attack on Israel would trigger an explosion of anti-Semitism throughout the globe. Certainly there is something other-worldly in this incredible unfolding of events. And as Tzahal continues to defend Israel against diabolical enemies bent on our destruction, Heaven forbid, the Jew hatred will only increase. And it isn’t going to go away. The evil genie has left the bottle. For the last 70 years the Jews enjoyed a period of peace and prosperity in Western countries, but that period has abruptly ended, just as it did again and again throughout our history. Jewish life in the Diaspora will never be the same. The “good life” is gone. It will never return. That is the message we are carrying to America.
Accordingly we call out to all Rabbis to urge their congregations to contact Nefesh B’Nefesh and open Aliyah files. We call out to the Jewish leadership in North America to wake up from their delusion that the Jews have discovered the Promised Land in Boca, or Monsey, or Tuscon, Toronto, or LA, and lead the way by their person example of packing their bags, selling their luxurious homes and boarding a flight on El Al while the airports are still open and airlines are still traveling to Israel. The Federation directors and heads of major Jewish organizations and community Rabbis must shout out “After me!” even if it means sacrificing their positions of authority and prestige.
It is time to come home. It is time for Jewish newspapers in America to use their influence to encourage Jews to move to Israel, even at the expense of losing their readership. It is time for Jewish organizations and Jewish parents to send young Jews to settle in Israel – and not just on fun vacations or for short bouts of learning, even if it means that their children will have to enlist in the Israel Defense Forces – oh my, Heaven forbid! And yes, please face a growing reality my friends. It is time for Jews to get their money out of America while they still can.
Rabbi Leo Dee was just in America. His host in New Jersey told him that he had just purchased a gun. The salesman in the gun shop said to him, “What has taken you so long? The Muslims in the area have been buying weapons for months.”
If Jews in America are buying revolvers to place inside their bedside drawers they should also keep their birth certificates and proof of their Jewishness alongside their firearms as well. May the Aliyah Commandos have success in their mission!

Dr. Chavi Goldberg, founder of CyberSem (https://cybersem.com/) passionately discusses the significance that Jewish learning has in a woman's life. Just like doctors, lawyers, electricians, and other workers need to take courses and classes to keep up to date on the skills in their field, Jewish women need to do the same. When we learn Torah, it's not just an intellectual pursuit. We learn the skills that we need to run our homes, be good wives, good mothers, good friends, and good Jews. We need to keep current on how Judaism affects our lives now--this applies to any age. CyberSem offers accredited courses, as well as independent study courses on a variety of Jewish topics. With the flexibility of online learning, women can learn at their own pace and at their own convenience. To contact Chavi directly, please email her at cgoldberg@machontemima.org.

Faithfully, Moshe confronts Pharaoh and conveys Hashem’s command to “Let My People go!” This cry of freedom became the cry during the struggle for Soviet Jewry – “Let My People go!” Today the cry of the Jewish leadership throughout the Diaspora has been twisted into the very opposite: “Let my people stay!”
Instead of longing for freedom in the Jewish Homeland, the Jews who remain in gentile lands cry out “Let us stay here amongst the gentiles in a foreign land, in a land not our own!” They demand their democratic right as citizens of America and France and England and Belgium to remain faithful citizens of these gentile countries, free to live there in liberty and equality like everyone else. But they are not citizens like everyone else – they are Jews - strangers in strange lands. And now with the explosion of anti-Semitism throughout the world, Diaspora Jews cry out: “Let my people stay!”
The Jewish Federations of North America cries out “Let my people stay!” The American Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations cries out “Let my people stay!” The American Jewish Congress cries out “Let my people stay!” B’nai B’rith International cries out “Let my people stay!” The American Reform and Conservative Movements cry out “Let my people stay!” The Rabbinical Council of America cries out “Let my people stay!” Modern Orthodox communities throughout America cry out “Let my people stay!” The Lubavitch Organization cries out “Let my people stay!” The Anti-Defamation League cries out “Let my people stay!” Jewish organizations and pro-Israel advocacy groups on college campuses cry out “Let my people stay!” American Jewish Newspapers cry out “Let my people stay!” The great benefactors of American Jewry cry out “Let my people stay!”
Even though the pavement is burning under their feet, the Jews of America cry out “Let my people stay!” “Let us remain loyal Americans,” they plead. “Don’t force us to move to Israel. Don’t force us to make Aliyah. The Torah has changed! The G-d of Israel has changed! We are no longer the Children of Israel! We are the Children of America and England and Australia and of Germany. Let us remain in a land not our own as a loyal minority. The temporary hatred will pass.”
Obviously, this great yearning for foreign lands is the antithesis of Torah which teaches us to always yearn for Jerusalem and for life in our own Jewish Homeland. Tragically, we have forgotten who we are. But Hashem has not forgotten. Just as He sent the blows of the Egyptian slave masters, He is sending the blows of today’s anti-Semites to remind us who we are. To remind us that we don’t belong in foreign gentile lands, just as He reminded us time and again in our wanderings across the globe whenever we believed that we had finally found refuge in a friendly gentile land.
It is almost too late to avoid the inevitable. Yet there is still a chance. With great courage and by accepting the truth of Jewish destiny, we can change the cry of “Let my people stay!” back to the original cry of “Let My People go!” As the Prophet proclaims, “For from Zion shall go forth the Torah, and the word of the L-rd from Jerusalem.”

Rabbanit Batya Ivry-Friedman talks about the important role that Jewish women have in sharing their own unique gifts in order to bring a community together. She emphasizes that there is so much beauty in the diversity of the Jewish community because we all have something to contribute that will help others. We were all given our personal strengths from G-d, and as Jewish women, we have the power to be leaders by using those gifts to commit ourselves to fulfilling the needs of our community. Now, more than ever, Jewish women have a variety of platforms, like social media, podcasts, and roles of leadership in their community, where they can really and truly elevate the mundane and make it holy.
Rabbanit Batya also talks about how her mother inspired a love of Judaism in her and her siblings because she always had G-d in her life. She set a beautiful example of doing chesed in her community--whenever someone needed help, they would call her, and she would be there to offer what she could to help them. In this way, Rabbanit Batya's mother embodied a love for G-d and Torah, and passed that example on to her children.
Rabbanit Bayta mentioned the Kosher Food Expo that she is putting together, which will be taking place at Congregation Ahavath Torah in Englewood, NJ on Monday, November 7, 2022. For more information, please visit: https://secure.qgiv.com/for/fooexp202...

Survivor of the Nova Music Festival, Liel Shitrit, shares her story of how she survived the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack in Israel. Liel was with her friends at the festival when Hamas invaded and started shooting at people around 6:30 A.M. She describes leaving the festival and how different groups of terrorists shot at her and her friends. One of her friends was shot in the head. (He survived.) Another friend was kidnapped and is currently being held hostage--BRING THEM HOME NOW!
Liel spoke about how the terrorists murdered everyone in cold blood---she described them not as people, but as monsters. She talked about seeing her friends shot, body parts everywhere (legs, arms, and even heads that were displaced from bodies.) She felt horror and terror at seeing this.
Liel went on to describe how she and her friends hid in a bathroom for 6 hours. The door had no lock, so one of her friends held it closed for the entire 6 hours until IDF troops arrived.
Liel spoke about how she is processing her emotions, how her family is handling the situation, and what she would say to the hostages right now, if she had the opportunity to speak with them.
This is a raw and truthful first-person account of the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack.

Dear President Herzog – It isn’t Enough to Say “We Hear You, We Care for You” to American Jewry. Words are important but this is a time for action.
Immediately we must send 100 “Aliyah Commandos” to 50 colleges and Jewish communities throughout America to alert Jewish youth of the new opportunities to receive college degrees in a variety of disciplines IN ENGLISH in universities in Israel.
The “commandos” will also shout out the message to American Jewry that it is time to come home! They will urge Rabbis and the Jewish leadership in America to face the writing on the wall that there is no future for Jewish youth in America. Assimilation is already a cancer which is devastating American Jewry at an ever-increasing pace. Now the spreading anti-Semitism is a malevolent genie which has escaped from the bottle and which no amount of TV and billboard advertising can ever contain.
Caring about the worsening situation in America won’t help the beleaguered Jews there. We have to act!
At last week’s Emergency Aliyah Conference in Jerusalem, some 20 grassroots Aliyah activists, including Jonathan Pollard and Rabbi Leo Dee, spoke passionately to a large gathering about the imperative to act now in order to help our brothers and sisters in America. New concepts in outreach and new strategies sounded from every corner of the hall. Grassroots Aliyah activists who have worked independently for decades to further the cause of Aliyah, activists whose websites and outreach in the social media cover several million Jews, are ready to fly to the United States to rally American Jewry around the flag of the one-and-only Jewish State.
An initial group of “Aliyah Commandos” will fly to New York this week to hand out pamphlets at the Israel Day Parade about new college opportunities in Israel and about the imperative of Aliyah. A recruitment drive for young activists willing to travel throughout North America during the summer to college campuses and Jewish communities to promote a deeper connection to Israel and to the eternal mission of Am Yisrael will soon, b'ezrat Hashem, get underway.
To our great chagrin, the Government of Israel has not met the challenge of providing an escape route for Jews still lingering throughout the Diaspora. Perhaps their absence at the conference, excluding the presence of Nefesh B’Nefesh, explains the sorry state of Aliyah to Israel and the pathetically small numbers of new Jewish immigrants. It seems that when it comes to Aliyah, we are a ship without any gasoline.
Indeed, Jonathan Pollard, who recently returned from Aliyah-related activism in France, expressed the apparently widespread opinion of French Jewry that the Government of Israel doesn’t care about their desire to make aliyah.
Even worse, other activists at the conference claimed that when it comes to a mass movement of Jewish immigrants from the West, the Governments of Israel for the past several decades doesn’t want them here. I pray that these accusations aren’t true. The fight for world Jewry is as vital as our victory over the enemies which surround us and those who dwell in our borders.
The war with Hamas fell on us like a meteor from out of the sky.
Today, the State of Israel is at a crucial crossroads.
When it comes to Aliyah we must not be caught unprepared like we were on October 7th. Plans must be formulated to evacuate the Jews from the Diaspora if such a need arises. Housing for the great numbers must be prepared in Israel. The urgency of the hours demands that we all act together, government agencies and grassroots soldiers. Together, with the help of G-d, we will prevail!

Rebbetzin Sarah Barash is the co-founder of the Chabad Jewish Center of Jupiter, Florida. She talks about getting in touch with your inner essence; your divine soul. When we say Modah Ani in the morning, we start off the day by getting in touch with our soul and thanking Hashem for returning our soul to us. Hashem has infinite compassion for us as He wakes us up in the morning. It is part of our mission in life to expand our soul and spread that compassion to others. When we connect to Hashem through prayer and mitzvot, we shed light on the darkness and reveal Hashem's essence, thereby fulfilling our soul mission. That is deep!!!

Rebbetzin Gail Michalowicz is the rebbetzin of the Westmount Shul and Learning Center in the Thornhill Jewish Community of Toronto. She talks to us about the astounding parallels between exercise and Torah. Just like we have a personal trainer at the gym to help us workout our bodies, Hashem is the personal trainer of our soul. Just like the trainer at the gym starts us off using lighter weights and fewer exercise repetitions, Hashem starts us off with small challenges until our spiritual muscles strengthen and then He gives us harder challenges to make us stronger internally. Rebbetzin Gail emphasizes that we need to have a healthy body so that our soul can do its job.
