New Book On Lubavitch And Lakewood

Rabbi Chaim Dalfin – author of numerous books on controversial topics – has just published his latest work: Lakewood and Lubavitch.

In recommending the book, David Levy, chief librarian of Lander College for Women, highlighted some points of interest in the work: “The Rayatz (the sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe) spent almost three months in Lakewood at the home of his supporter, Mr. Charles Paston. During this time, including Pesach 1940, Lubavitch had moved to Lakewood. There, the Rebbe held court, met with petitioners and presided over farbrengens. Three years later, in 1943, Rabbi Aaron Kotler founded Beth Medrash Govoha.”

Rabbi Aaron Rakeffet of Yeshiva University’s Gruss Kollel wrote that Dalfin’s book “should be read and studied by all those interested in the unique success of both Lubavitch and Lakewood on the contemporary Torah scene. While Rabbi Dalfin is himself a Lubavitcher, he admirably attempts to be evenhanded and to allow the facts to speak for themselves.”
