American born Ari Harow, PM Netanyahu's former Bureau Chief, will be returning to politics, this time as Netanyahu's Chief of Staff. Harow was born in Los Angeles, and made Aliyah to Israel at age 12 with his family, He grew up in Karnei Shomron. Harow is highly trusted by Netanyahu.
Outgoing Israeli Ambassador to the US Michael Oren was the only American to hold the post – until Tuesday. Netanyahu has appointed Ron Dermer, a close aide, to take over the job.
Netanyahu told his cabinet that any agreement would be brought to a vote of the people.
