A law enforcement luncheon honoring heads of federal, state, county and municipal agencies was hosted by Rabbi Pinchas Weberman on Tuesday, March 4. Special agents in charge of ATF, FBI, ICE, Secret Service, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Postal Service, Miami-Dade County Police Department, command staffs of municipal police departments and the chief of HYDA were among the distinguished guests.

Rabbi Weberman is the senior Orthodox rabbi of South Florida. He has been spiritual leader of Ohev Congregation since 1969 and served as president of the Orthodox Rabbinical Council of South Florida since 1979.

The rabbi is known as the liaison between law enforcement and the Jewish community in South Florida. He serves as chaplain for the Miami Beach Police Department, the Miami-Dade County Police Department and the U.S. Department of Justice Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. He is also on the staff of the Miami-Dade County medical examiner’s office.

The annual event has been held by Rabbi Weberman for more than two decades. Good will and friendship is generated and a delectable meal is provided by Weberman Traditional Kosher Foods.
