Spotlights vs. Stones Near Beitar

By Jewish Press News Desk

The IDF has apparently been struggling with finding a passive solution to the Arab stone throwing problem near Beitar Ilit and the Hussan bypass in Gush Etzion. Dozens of cars have been damaged and people injured in the attacks these past few weeks.

The army determined that most of the attacks are happening at night, in the dark, according to a Channel 10 report.

The IDF's solution is to install powerful spotlights along the road, pointing into the area from where the Arabs are currently throwing stones, in the hope that without the cover of darkness, the stone throwers won't be able to act or get close to the road.
