Stabbing Attack Thwarted on Way to Dead Sea

Vigilant civilians on Wednesday night alerted police after noticing a suspicious individual lurking at the Almog Junction, on the way to the Dead Sea.

After the man's arrest, it became apparent that they had thwarted a stabbing attack.

The police stated that a report was received from a number of civilians who claimed to have spotted a suspect who was circulating in the area of ​​Almog Junction.

Police forces arrived at the scene, located the suspect, and a body search revealed he was carrying a knife.

The would-be-terrorist, a 30-year-old Arab resident of Shechem (Nablus), was arrested for questioning.

An initial inquiry revealed that he had planned to carry out a terror attack.
