Goldreich signed a petition in March calling for a boycott of Israeli academic institutions in Judea and Samaria.

New York State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli said Ben & Jerry’s decision violated his office’s policy against the BDS movement against Israel.

“The translation rights to my new novel are still available; if I can find a way to sell these rights that is compliant with the BDS movement’s institutional boycott guidelines, I will be proud to do so,” she said.

Ben & Jerry’s brought in anti-Israel and anti-Zionist author Peter Beinart, who infamously called for the 'elimination' of Israel, to present the company's perspective to its store owners and franchisees.

Franchisees operating 30 stores across the country, generating $23.3 million in combined annual revenue, say the company’s stance on Israel has damaged their bottom line.

“The second Ben & Jerry’s decided to discriminate against Israel, it affected Florida’s ability to make investments with its parent company,” said Jimmy Patronis, CFO of the State Board of Administration.

“Please continue to be assured that Maryland is committed to diversity and inclusion, and ardently opposes any form of discrimination based on religion, national origin, place of residence or ethnicity,” stated a letter by Maryland Secretary of State John C. Wobensmith.

If Unilever is found non-compliant, the state would have to divest from it and any of its subsidiaries.

“Discrimination against some Jews harms all Jews worldwide,” says El Rosado Group CEO Johnny Czarninski.

Unilever’s North American headquarters are in Englewood Cliffs, N.J., and employs 1,600 people.

BDS is one of the weapons employed to destroy the liberal democratic state of Israel. For many BDS supporters, Israel is a proxy for West.
