The decision was the final ruling in a legal battle that went on for years. On 9 July 2005, the Palestinian Authority called for a worldwide Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) Campaign against the Jewish State. The Cour de Cassation, the Supreme Court of France, reaffirmed that publicly calling for the boycott of Israeli products is a case of incitement to discrimination on the basis of nationality.
Caterpillar issued a stinging rebuke of the accusations, and it was revealed that the Palestinian Authority recently bought Caterpillar equipment.

Many abroad think that there is little that can be done to silence the BDS movement. They rightfully assume that these campaigns are being instigated by callous hate-mongers who are unwilling to recognize Israel’s contribution to the world out of their ignorance of the realities of the Arab-Israeli conflict. Those same people think that it is best just to ignore BDS and it will go away.
A Jewish gay and lesbian group has submitted a request to the Pride Toronto arbitration panel, asking the gay pride parade organizers to ban anti-Israel group Queers Against Israeli Apartheid from the festival. The dispute resolution committee will review the complaint, but may not be able to render a decision in time for the event.

The BDS movement against Israel is growing in Germany, hitting the transportation, tourism, music, agriculture, . Critics say the obsession with Israel while human rights are being systematically abused in Muslim countries such as Iran, Syria and Saudi Arabia is a reflection of anti-Semitism.
BDS advocates seem to be prevented by their pre-existing beliefs -- whether anti-Israeli or anti-Semitic attitudes -- from appreciating the the context in which facts can be understood. If they truly wanted to help the Palestinians, their time and energy would be better spent encouraging Arab states and Palestinians to demand better governance from their leaders, and enter into negotiations to normalize political and trade relations with Israel.

The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement and the European Coordination of Committees and Associations for Palestine (ECCP) boasted a successful campaign and praised the EU on Tuesday for deciding not to renew a contract with the world’s largest security solutions company, because it also does business with Israeli prisons and security services.
