No one was injured.
Dozens of cars stuck and abandoned on Highway 443 due to the snow storm were ransacked over the weekend. Most of the thefts occurred near Shmuel's Tomb. Among the objects stolen from the cars were batteries, engine parts, and personal items left inside the vehicles.
Shortly after 10 pm on Tuesday evening, a shock grenade exploded near soldiers manning the Maccabim checkpoint on Road 443, near Modiin. One person was lightly injured. It is not clear if the grenade was thrown at the soldiers, or if one of the soldier's grenades exploded.
