JINSA reissued the letter with four additional former military leaders as signatories.

“It is a real fight against good and evil. The challenge is so much bigger, and, of course, the world as [the Russian president] wants to change is not the world in which Jews and Israel want to live,” said Natan Sharansky.

“Without a U.S. credible military threat, no diplomacy will achieve a positive outcome and nothing you do will achieve a positive outcome,” said former Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Ron Dermer. “And unfortunately, I don't see that happening right now.”
