Terrorists placed a gas canister and burning tires along the road, hoping to blow up some cars on Highway 443.
Shortly after 10 pm on Tuesday evening, a shock grenade exploded near soldiers manning the Maccabim checkpoint on Road 443, near Modiin. One person was lightly injured. It is not clear if the grenade was thrown at the soldiers, or if one of the soldier's grenades exploded.
