Hundreds of students entered quarantine this week after infections in multiple schools.
More than 4,500 residents of kibbutzim and moshavim in southern Israel have asked the kibbutz movement to fund a vacation day in central and northern Israel for residents of the missile-weary farming communities. More than 50 kibbutzim said they would be willing to host the kibbutzniks.
If the deal goes through it would be for between $2.4 and $2.7 billion.
